Welcome the Ignit

ignitpn

We're heating up the ranch with the introduction of the Ignit!

The Ignit is a Fire Elemental that produces Molten Ore, a new crafting material used to create the Builder's Magma block set.

Molten Ore can also be found as a rare drop from mining nodes, but Ignits are the most efficient way to collect it.

Players can keep up to 10 Ignits on their ranch at a time.

Photo Mode Upgrade

CameraEmoteWheel

Strike a pose! Players can now access the standard Emote Wheel while in Photo Mode, and can also switch Saved Outfits without leaving the camera. Simply use the same buttons you normally use to open these tabs during gameplay.

With your full emote collection at your finger tips, this upgrade makes it easier than ever to capture the perfect moment. No more scrambling, only styling!

Profile Icons

ProfileIcons

Show off a little more of your personality with the introduction of Profile Icons!

Through the Character Profile screen, players can now choose their Profile Icon using the new “Change Icon” option, featuring a variety of fun designs to pick from. Your selected icon will appear across social features, including the Friends Menu.

We’ve added a variety of icons to get things started, with even more planned for future updates!

Teleport to Friends

Teleport2Friend

You can now teleport directly to your friends via a new button in the Social Panel, located in the Friends Menu next to the Server Sync button. This feature uses the same cooldown as the “Teleport Home” button, so plan carefully.

If your friend is on the same map or server, you’ll teleport instantly, and if they are on a different map or server, you will load and travel directly to their location in the world. Please note you must be friends with a player to teleport to them, and this only works while they are in the world, not on their home plot.

Additionally, Hearth Potions have been reworked into Teleport Potions. Existing Hearth Potions will still function but will no longer be obtainable. Teleport Potions are now treated as a currency, and any quests that previously rewarded Hearth Potions will now instead grant Teleport Potions, which can be used to travel home or teleport directly to friends, even while on cooldown.

Improvements & Adjustments

Seasonal Bloom Event Update

We have added Hydrangea and Tiger Lilies as a potential flower drop to the Bloom event. (There is also a small chance to acquire one of the original Potato Pods bags!)

Friends List Improvements

The Friends List has been upgraded, including a general indicator showing when your friends were last online. We’ve also added performance improvements to the social menu!

Sparkly Effect

The 'Sparkly' cosmetic effect for horse-type mounts in the ranch now also includes the tail.

Top Bug Fixes

Pattern Line 02_Short

Disclaimer: Please note this is not a comprehensive list of all fixed issues.

We put in a lot of work this cycle to clean things up across Palia. Tons of bugs were fixed, and we have listened to player feedback to make improvements in lots of areas to help everything run smoother and feel better to play.

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where attempting to fish at an Amber Echo hotspot before breaking the surrounding Amber triggered an incorrect error message.
  • [Fixed in a previous Hotfix] Corrected the spawn rates for Amber and Star Quality fishing hotspots along the Royal Highlands coast.
  • [Fixed in a previous Hotfix] Fixed an issue preventing the Cookie of the Day from dropping out of Rare Treat Packs.
  • Fixed the feeding rules for the Divine Doughnut; it can now only be fed to barn animals that have reached the Venerated age tier, rather than the Elder tier.
  • Restored missing audio during the "Mysterious Voice" sequence in "The Lion and the Lamb" quest.
  • Fixed a graphical texture bug that caused an unintended white texture to appear on Elderwood trees.
  • Fixed an issue where the Persistent Center Reticle failed to stay active.
  • Fixed an issue where the Persistent Center Reticle accessibility option would fail to stay active.
  • Added a missing visual pop-up notification to show the Gold cost deduction when using the Stables Board to fast travel between maps.
  • Adjusted the displayed rarity tiers for various cooked dishes native to the Royal Highlands.
  • Fixed an issue where four quest items incorrectly remained in the player's quest pouch after completing "Clash of the Galdur."
  • Failing the cooking mini-game for Pumpkin Stew will now properly yield "Ruined Food" as intended.
  • Added the appropriate interaction prompt where the Administrator stood prior to finishing the main story quest line.

Housing & Decor

  • Fixed an issue in the Misty Moorlands landscape where grass would clip and poke through decor.
  • Fixed an issue causing the Giga Rainbow Frogbert plush to appear smaller than intended when placed on a housing plot.
  • Crab Wars Decor items can now be correctly placed on top of tables and other flat surfaces.
  • Increased the physical size of the Champion's Ball Decor item.
  • Resolved an inventory issue preventing players from stacking several Decor items.
  • Resolved a text issue in the Spanish localization where the Teatime Serving Tray and Teatime Tea Tray shared the exact same name.

Accounts, Character Creation, Collections, and Wardrobe

  • Fixed a visual bug where cosmetic traits on Retired Horse Mounts were not visible to other players in the area.
  • Fixed a navigation bug that prevented players from scrolling through the Player Requests screen.
  • Removed an unintended stone wall asset that partially blocked the exit on the Harvest Homestead Landscape.
  • Improved navigation layout and responsiveness when using a controller inside the Social Menu.

Premium Cosmetics

  • Masculine player characters can now correctly change eye colors.
  • 'Clouded Eyes' eye customization is now correctly marked as free.
  • The 'Sparkly' cosmetic effect for horse-type mounts in the ranch now also includes the tail.
  • Hearts on the Magical Girl hair piece display the correct colors again.
  • Baby ranch animals correctly display cosmetic traits to other players when used as pets.
  • Bonus value calculation on supporter packs now displays correctly.
  • Fixed typo in the name of the 'Disheveled Lord' hair style.
  • An audio syncing error could occur when joining another players "KICK THAT" dance emote via the emote wheel.

Top Known Issues

Pattern Line 02_Short

Disclaimer: Please note this is not a comprehensive list of all known issues.

New to 0.204

  • The Molten Ore item only stacks up to 30 in Inventory.
  • The description for the Sandy Wallpaper is only displayed in English.
  • Equipping the Sharkbait Hat will incorrectly remove the players equipped hairstyle.
  • The Lunar Paths screen may become stuck loading while opening.
  • Emote names overrun the text area when purchasing the "Heartdrop Girlz" bundle from the store.
  • Long names may overrun the text area on the 'New' tab in the store.
  • Loading icons may not be cleared when viewing the purchase page in Lunar Paths.

Other Issues

  • Players may see issues with wallpapers on the Courtyard when a window alternation is chosen.
  • In rare cases, ghosted players may become temporarily invisible on Switch
  • Players on low end devices may see performance drops when cooking in large groups. Please let us know if you encounter it as we are looking for more information on potential causes.
  • Renaming an animal while mounted can result in an unresponsive UI.
  • During the quest "First and Last," the sparkling trail effects leading to quest items may remain visible on the ground even after the items have been collected. They will disappear once the quest is fully completed.
  • Using a filter in the Animal Inventory menu whilst using a controller may prevent players from being able to select the "Donate" button. Workaround: Clearing the filter or closing and reopening the menu should restore navigation.
  • The text shown on the mount equip screen when players have a Handler's License, but have not unlocked the ability to ride a horse is unclear. You must complete Before the Dawn (given on first entrance to Royal Highlands) before you can ride your purchased horse.
  • On rare occasions while using a controller on PC, the trigger buttons may stop working.
  • In some cases, players can spawn in partially invisible, but will be properly rendered after they move.
